As part of an investigation into possible local shopping centre regeneration work, the City of Hobart commissioned nbd space to undertake an Urban Design study of the Sandy Bay High Street. The intention was to produce a draft Masterplan for works of improvement aimed at making this busy but car dominated space more people orientated and encourage street life through greater activation of shopfronts and improvements in public and private seating.

The Study formed the basis for the City’s own Masterplan which, with consultation with local retailers, has been constructed.
